The remaining areas were transferred on to aerial photos taken in April <br />1980 <br />88. Three teams of two inspectors each toured all remaining areas noting speci- <br />fic land use within each area and providing a general description of surround- <br />ing land uses. <br />89. Floodplains, protected wetlands and shorelands were outlined on each <br />aerial photo and confirmed in site tours. <br />90. Generalized soil and aquifer conditions for each area was noted using soil <br />information from county soil surveys prepared by the Soil Conservation Service <br />and water well information from MGS. <br />91. The optional criteria was applied to the remaining areas in the pre- <br />scribed order. <br />VI. PRELIMINARY AREAS <br />92. Twenty eight (28) preliminary areas were identified. <br />93. On September 23, 1982 the Board adopted the 28 preliminary areas. <br />94. Notice was mailed to each of the affected communities September 24, 1982. <br />
