Information about existing industry in the areas was obtained from the two <br />site visits done by consultants and staff and from city staffs in some cases. <br />117• Selecting areas that have more compatible existing industrial uses addresses <br />the following statutory and publicly suggested factors: <br />Statutory: <br />a) Consistency with local land use and land use controls <br />b) Existing and future development patterns <br />c) Location of hazardous waste generators <br />Public: <br />a)compatibility with local land use and land use plans <br />Planned industrial development <br />118.
