4 <br />MEMO TO: <br />Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: <br />Clerk -Administrator <br />DATE: <br />March 9, 1983 <br />SUBJECT: <br />RAMSEY COUNTY GRAVEL TAX <br />ORDINANCE AND DISTRIBUTION FORMULA <br />Attached please find correspondence received from the Ramsey County <br />Department of Public Works on February 17, 1983 regarding the <br />referenced subject matter. This information was forwarded to <br />Finance Director Brager and Director of Public Works/Community <br />Development Johnson, with the attached memo dated February 23, 1983 <br />requesting their input into the proposed formula for distributing <br />gravel taxes collected by Ramsey County to the municipalities within <br />the County. <br />Staff evaluation of the information submitted by Ramsey County reveals <br />that the proposed distribution formula is identical to that outlined <br />in Minnesota ,Statutes 383A.16, Read and Dridge Fund. Staff found no <br />reason on which to base any objections to the proposed distribution <br />formula and, therefore, would recommend that the Council offer no <br />comment to Ramsey County on this matter. <br />DFP/pf <br />' , Attachments <br />
