39. 14 <br />Subdivision 10. Application of other Provisions of this Section. <br />Temporary gfeasd signs as defined in 39.01 49H 11), shall comply <br />with the provisions of Subdivision E herein. <br />Subdivision 11. Approval of. Sign Permit Applications. Upon <br />presentation of application, permit Fee, plans and specifications <br />and other required information, the sign construction permit shall <br />be issued by the Clcrk-Administrator, except as provided in Subdi- <br />vision 12 of this chapter. <br />Subdivision 12. _tLciai Approval from Council. In the case of <br />an application for a sign reyuiring a special permit, or which will <br />be illuminated, or moving, or of unusual height, size, design, or <br />location, the Clerk -Administrator shall refer such sign to the Council <br />for approval. No permit for any such sign, so referred, shall be <br />issued without first obtaining the approval of the Council. <br />Subdivision 13. Future Permits. A permit shall not be issued <br />for any new billboard or advertising sign located off the premises <br />where the advertised product is sold, if such billboard or sign would <br />be within three hundred (300) feet of any other such billboard or <br />sign already in existence. Any billboard destroyed by an act of God <br />may be rebuilt within thirty (30) days, if the construction of same <br />would comply with this subdivision. <br />Subdivision 14. Electioneering Signs. The following regulations <br />shall apply to all campaign signs for political candidates or issues: <br />(1) No more than one electioneering sign shall be erected per <br />candidate or issued along each street frontage of any parcel of land. <br />(2) Electioneering signs shall not exceed twelve (12) square feet <br />and not exceed four (4) feet in height above the ground except, where <br />such signs are located no closer than one hundred fifty (150) feet to <br />the property line of a residential dwelling, the maximum size shall <br />be thirty-two (32) square feet and the maximum height above the <br />ground shall be six (6) feet. <br />(3) Electioneering signs may be displayed from the last day of <br />candidacy filing or thirty (30) days before an election, whichever <br />is earlier. <br />(4) All electioneering signs must be removed no later than five <br />(5) days after an election except that after a primary election signs <br />for the winning primary candidates need not be removed until after <br />the ensuing general election. (254) <br />Subdivision 15. Signs Allowed by District. The following <br />requirements are for allowable signs as they pertain to zoned <br />districts: <br />(1) R-1 Single Family Residential District. <br />(a) A sign on residential property stating only the name <br />or address of the occupant not exceeding two (2) <br />square feet in size. <br />
