Ile <br />also reported that a grant had been received for <br />Silver View Park, for $33,228, to do additional <br />landscaping, and that he hopes to be able to modify <br />it to do trail development. <br />Park Director Anderson reported a great deal of time <br />had gone into the Festival in the Park, which they <br />felt turned out great. <br />He reported there are currently 120 employees working <br />in the Park, Recreation and Forestry department, <br />including volunteers, and he has been very busy coor- <br />dinating all of them, He started he would like to <br />commend Mary Saarion for all her extra time put in, <br />as well as the whole staff in general. <br />Director Johnson reported that Staff is attempting to <br />pull together information for the Council on a golf <br />course. <br />Ile reported that 113 building permits were issued, 32 <br />mechanical permits, 17 HRA inspections, 72 housing <br />unit inspections, 72 re -inspections, and 16 planning <br />applications were received, with revenue from the <br />building permits alone being alveady at 100% of what <br />was expected for the year, and the other areas being <br />at at least 50%. <br />He reported that Knollwood Green and the 8-unit condo- <br />miniums that Mary Anderson is building, will be part <br />of the Parade of Homes in August. <br />Director Johnson reported that Well #6, Treatment <br />Plant #3 and Treatment Plant #1 work has all been <br />completed. He reported the sewer department has <br />reviewed the footage and determined some repair work <br />is needed, with two emergency repairs already having <br />been done. <br />Director Johnson reported the street sweeping was <br />completed, and that 5 tons of tar have been put <br />into potholes. He reviewed the LP conversion <br />status, and the training which has been completed <br />by employees, and the personnel hired. <br />Director Johnson reporteL'. that the water fund for <br />materials and supplies, will have an anticipated <br />overrun of approximately $3,000, with the original <br />budget being $5,934. <br />Director Johnson reviewed the hours completed to <br />date by himself, and the pro4,,rts involved, <br />
