Mayor McCarty stated that conferences for department heads were cut to reduce expenses, and he felt this should be budgeted in the Park and Rec area. Clerk/ Administrator Pauley replied that it is in the general fund budget, in the Park and Rec category. Motion/Second: Hankuer/Linke to approve the request of Park Director Anderson to attend the first year of the two year program of the NRPA Park Planning and Maintenance School, to be budgeted out of the 1983 conference budget, Account No. 4362, in lieu of his budgeted conference. 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carrie Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened 4B. Director Johnson explained that the Church has re- quested a lot combination of five lots into two, to be able to sell an existing educational building located at the south end of the property. He added that his understanding is that they plan to come before the City soon with plans for a building to house educational facilities. He stated that the home would be sold as a single family home.
