Anderson, Dror <br />Parks, Recreation anty <br />DATE: August 11, 1983 <br />RE: Aquatics Coordinator Position <br />Attached is a proposal that has been submitted by Maureen Thielan <br />who staff is actively considering for the position of aquatics <br />coordinator at the Lakeside Park Beach and Edgewood Community <br />Center pool. At this time, we are still in a negotiation stage <br />with Ms. Thielan and the Mounds View USSA Swim Club regarding the <br />possible coordination of a full-time aquatics coordinator between <br />the two agencies. Staff would like to bring the City Council up <br />to date on the potential hiring of the aquatics coordinator on <br />Monday evening with no formal action envisioned until the Monda/, <br />August, 22, 1983 regular City Council meeting. <br />To that end, I have also included a copy of Ms. Thielan's <br />application, a copy of the proposed job description, and a copy <br />of the joint powers agreement with the school district. Prior tc <br />our meeting on Monday evening at the agenda session, staff will <br />be speaking to the Cities of Spring Lake Park and the school <br />district to once again solicit their input regarding the position <br />so that we might be able to provide you with better background as <br />to how the position is evolving. <br />Should you have any questions regarding the enclosed preliminary <br />information, feel free to contact myself directly at ext, #41, <br />BKA/sll <br />Enclosure <br />
