MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council. <br />1 <br />FROM: Clerk-Administratorj- <br />DATE: September 12, 1983 <br />SUBJECT: <br />NORTH SUBURBAN CABLE COMMUNICATIONS COM14ISSION 1984 BUDGET <br />AND REQUEST FOR CONTRIBUTIONS FOR 1983 AND 1984 <br />Attached please find a memo from 'Thomas D. Creighton, General <br />Counsel for the North Suburban Cable Communications Commission, <br />regarding their 1984 Budget and requests for contributions in the <br />amount of $2,587.50 for the fourth quarter of 1983 and $10,350.00 <br />for the year 1984. As is stated in Mr. Creighton's memorandum, <br />these monies will be reimbursed by Group l9 as part of the franchise <br />agreement. <br />Staff has reviewed the Commission's proposed 1984 Budget and finds <br />it to be reasonable based upon the programs laid out by the Cable <br />Commission. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff would recommend Council authorization to <br />submit payment in the amount of $2,587.50 prior to October 15, 1983, <br />with monies to come out of the Contingency Account of the 1983 Budget, <br />and payment of the 1984 contribution in the amount of $10,350.00 to <br />be paid from the Contingency Account of the 1984 Budget, with said <br />payment not being wade before January 1, 1984. <br />DFP/pf <br />cc: Finance Director Brager <br />Attachment <br />
