!00s, MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Development: <br />DATE: October 12, 1983 <br />SUI3JL•'CT: MILLER INDUSTRIAL PARK WL•'TLAND ALTE10%T1ON PERh1IT <br />AND FINAL PLAT <br />Staff has placed on the agenda the following items for consideration <br />by the City Council as they relate to the review and approval <br />process for the Miller Industrial wetland alteration permit and <br />final plat: <br />a) Review of modifications suggested at October 5, 1983, <br />Wetlands Committee for checklists for Chapters 48, 49 <br />and 49A. Due to the backlog at the work processor, <br />the material for the revised checklists will not be <br />available until the meeting on Monday evening. <br />b) Review of letter dated October 7, 1983, from Mr. Bruce <br />Malkerson on behalf of John Miller. Staff is <br />requesting direction from the City Council as to how <br />the City should respond to the items presented in <br />Mr. Malkerson's letter. Staff particularly calls <br />attention to items 1 through 4 starting on page 2 of <br />the letter. It is staff's recommendation that prior <br />to any formal response on behalf of the City that the <br />input from Mr. Meyers be received by the Council. <br />c) Review of approval timetable established at the August <br />8, 1983 Council meeting. Attached is a copy of the <br />minutes of that meeting concerning item 10 which granted <br />the time extension to the final plat for the Miller <br />Industrial Park. Attached is a summary of the time <br />frames listed in the August 8th minutes and assigning <br />target dates for completion .of various portions established <br />in the timetable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff would like Lo obtain City Council direction <br />so that necessary items desired by the Council will be available <br />for the October 24, 1983 public hearing on the alteration permit <br />items. Staff is of the opinion that the Council will wish to <br />utilize the checklist for review of the alteration permit and, <br />therefore, would like consensus as to the form and content prior to <br />initiating a response to the items listed in the checklist. <br />JCJ/bc <br />Attachments <br />
