Mounds View City Council <br />October 10, 1983 <br />Regular Mecting <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br />Page Eight <br />City proceed with legal action under the bond, as <br />they have not gotten anywhere with all the letters <br />' <br />and phone calls and so forth. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Blanchard to authorize <br />Attorney Byers to proceed under the bond to get <br />the work completed on the Long Lake Road ditch. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had, as an <br />17. .reports of <br />individual, submitted a letter to the Met Council, <br />Councilmembers <br />on thki Anoka County -Blaine Airport Masfcr Plan, to <br />state <br />her position, and nail later received a call from Repre- <br />senCat-ive Voss, appraising her of the status of the <br />issue. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported the Planning <br />Commission will be seeing the presentation from <br />the Met Council Staff on "Where Will Our Children <br />Live" on October 19. <br />Councilmember Doty reported he has been asked to <br />serve again on the League of Cities committee on <br />personnel and pensions. <br />Councilmember Doty presented the Council with a <br />copy of a letter from the City of Fridley, regarding <br />their concern with a hazardous waste site. <br />Councilmember Linke reported the next Ramsey County <br />League meeting will be October 19, at the Little <br />Canada City Hall, at 7:30 PM regarding the <br />Ramsey/Washington Counties waste energy project. <br />Councilmember Linko reported the Festivities <br />Commission.had met the previous week, with Jan Quick <br />being appointed Chairperson. He reported one member <br />who had not been attending meetings for quite some <br />time had been voted off the Commission, and the <br />Commission was asking for Council support in it's <br />stand and in filling the vacancy. <br />It was determined to give the member in question an <br />opportunity to resign before the Council takes any <br />action. <br />Councilmember Linke recommended tabling any action <br />on the Police Chief selection, <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported the applicants <br />had been instructed to have their testing completed <br />this week, and that the consultant would need 7-10 <br />days upon completion of all testing to get reports <br />back to the Council. <br />
