MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO, 98-83 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COIINTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RECOMMI;NDATioN TO THE CITY COUNCrr, REGARDING PLANNING CASE 143-83 WHEREAS, Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, owners of a detached structure located at 5468 Adams Street, have submitted an application to rezone this property from R-1, Single Family Residential to R-21 Single and Two Family Residential to allow the future use of the property as a day care facility; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, as part of the overall review of the Zoning Code which is presently before the City Council for approval, is recommending that day care/group nursery facilities be an allowed use by conditional use permit in an R-2 Residential District; and WHEREAS, day care/group nursery facilities presently are an allowable use, by conditional use permit, in an R-3 Residential District; and WHEREAS, the City has rezoned property from R-1 to R-2 when the property is located on the periphery of residential neighbor- hoods and when the rezoning will not be detrimental to the surrounding R-1 uses; and WHEREAS, this property is located on the periphery of a rocirin"ti:.l :.rca aiiu bituuld not he detrimental to surrounding single family uses; and ComprehensWHEREAS, rezoning n2would econsistant with the vePianwhichdenotestheareaaslowdensity residential; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View Planning Commission recommends to the City Council approval of the request by Cross of Glory Lutheran Church to rezone the property located at 5468 Adams Street from R-1, Single Family Residential to R-2, Single and Two Family Residential; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission directs staff to forward this resolution to the City Council prior to approval of the minutes, ATTEST: (SEAL) Adopted this 7th day of December, 1983.
