RESOLUTION NO. 1724 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION TO MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT 9 ENGINEER REGARDING THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW'S REQUEST FOR FULL MEDIAN CROSS -OVER ACCESS ON TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 BETWEEN COUNTY H AND COUNTY ROAD H-2 WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is presently reviewing a development request for Planning District 2 of the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, Planning District 2 is only approximately 30 percent developed; and WHEREAS, the majority of the undeveloped property is fronting the northeast and northwest sides of Trunk Highway 10; and WHEREAS, the remaining undeveloped property is intended to be a mixed P.U.D. highway commercial/industrial/residential development; and WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View will deny or limit singular property access to Trunk Highway 10; and WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View plans to provide access for the undeveloped properties by the use of interior road systems; and WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has studied and resolved that access across Trunk Highway 10 in Planning District 2 between County Road H and County Road H-2 is necessary for public safely as -.;e11 as tc reduce traffic ;mpacrc on the Trunk Highway 10 intersection in Planning District 2; and WHEREAS, it is the intension and desire of the City of Mounds View to work with Minnesota Department of Transportation District Engineering Staff to create the best and safest workable traffic system within Planning District 2; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Mounds View requests that the Minnesota Department of Transpor- tation, District 9, consider the approval of a full median cross -over for Mounds View Planning District 2 between County l Road H and County Road H-2;
