LV_
MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Clerk -Administrator
DATE: March 8, 1984
SUBJECT: FAIRCHILD AVENUE RIGHT-OF-WAY DEVELOPMENT
ry 23,
Pursuantncil
hasebeennat placeduoiltheaAgenda for your
meeting,
your
consideration.
On March 2nd staff corresponded with the property owners,
Mr. & Mrs. Roy Gale and Ms. Debra Yost, who have indicated a
desire to subdivide the east half of their property and requested
retention of the Fairchild Avenue right-of-way by the City for
purposes of their development and advised them that this matter
would be on your March 12th Agenda and that as of the date of
the letter the City had received no proposal for development of
the property. At 2:00 p.m. on the afternoon of March 7, 1984
Mr. Ken Sjodin, representing the property owners, submitted a
preliminary plat to the City for the Gale and Yost Addition. As
it was impossible for staff to review the preliminary plat prior
to the Planning Commission meeting on the evening of March 2nd,
the Planning Commission instructed staff to conduct a review and
present a report to them at their March 21st Work Session. It is
anticipated that Council will be receiving recommendations from
the Planning Commission regarding this preliminary plat soon after
the March 21st Work Session of the Planning Commission.
DFP/pf
cc: Building Inspector Steve Rose
