MSA STREET PROJECT 1984 <br />INFORMATIONAL MEETING <br />May 14, 1984 <br />This Project involves reconstruction of the following streets: <br />Edgewood Drive from County Road 1f to County Road H-2, Quincy Street <br />from County Road I to Hillview Road, County Road I from Silver Lake <br />Road to Highway 10. <br />STREET WIDTHS <br />Street Existing Proposed <br />Edgowood Drive 43 Ft. 46 Ft. <br />Quincy Street 42 Ft. 38 Ft. <br />County Road I 28 Ft. 54 Ft. <br />The entlmatod total (•)st of the Project is $600,000 and will not be <br />assessed. The money is from Municipal State Aid (MSA), a State <br />program which returns a portion of gas tax revenuas to MSA eligible <br />cities for MSA eligible projects. <br />The Project includes installing non -surmountable concrete curb and <br />gutter, bituminous road, concrete sidewalk on the south side of <br />County Road I and on the cast side of Quincy Street. The concrete <br />sidewalk on the east side of Edgewood Drive will be replaced. <br />The ground surface which includes grass and driveways will be <br />restored to its original condition and original grade. <br />Edgewood Drive will be open to local traffic only. People using <br />Edgewood Community Center will be requested to use a temporary <br />entrance on the west side of the tennis courts or use the south <br />parking lot. (Please refer to attached map.) The contractor will <br />provide access to driveways and garages by automobile from 6 p.m. to <br />7 a.m, each night. He will also notify residents in writing of his <br />Intention to close driveway access the day prior to such closing. <br />County Road I will be open to traffic using the park from 5 p.m. to <br />7 a.m. <br />The contractor may close Quincy Street from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br />The City will mail a flyer indicating the anticipated construction <br />starting date. <br />We hate to say it, but there will be times during some days when you <br />will not be able to drive to your house. We will make every effort <br />to accommodate your needs and keep the inconvenience to a minimum. <br />The contractor will start work no earlier than 7:00 a.m. to reduce <br />noise problems. He will also undertake dust control measures as <br />directed by the City Engineer. <br />Driveway entrances will be installed to match existing driveway <br />widths unless we are notified otherwise in writing. <br />
