\J- z <br />MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Clerk-Administrato <br />DATE: May 11, 1984 <br />SUBJECT: MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY LEASE OF <br />INTOXILYZER 5000 <br />Attached to this memorandum please find a letter from Lowell C. <br />Van Berkom, Forensic Laboratory Director for the State of <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety communicating copies of <br />an agreement for the lend-lease of an Intoxilyzer 5000 which <br />would provide for the Mounds View Police Department's use of <br />this piece of equipment which as explained in the letter, is a <br />new infrared breath testing instrument and stimulator which <br />Chief Ramacher has indicated would be most beneficial to his <br />department. Chief Ramacher has requested that the City Council <br />adopt the attached resolution authorizing execution of the agree- <br />ment by the Mayor ani Clerk Administrator which would provide for <br />the loaning of this equipment at no cost to the City. Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends Council approval of Resolution No. 1737,A Resolution <br />Requesting the Lend -Lease of an Intoxilyzer 5000 from the Minnesota <br />r.
