Mounds View City Council E ; ,July 23, 1984 <br />Regular Meeting Page Four <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised that Staff has <br />checked the drain tile system and it is in full <br />working order. The Public Works department will <br />be digging down by the footings this week to check <br />for cracks, and waterproofing, and will direct the <br />drainage away from the building. Staff will be <br />soliciting proposals for the work and materials, <br />which are anticipated to be below $10,000, then <br />will advise Council of the proposals received. <br />MotionASecond: McCarty/Linke to direct Staff to <br />proceed t the refurbishing of the City Hall <br />lower level, not to exceed $9,257.00. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed his memo <br />of July 19 regarding roofing proposals, <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to approve the bid <br />From All Seasons Roofing Company, Inc. in the <br />amound of $8,892 for the total reconstruction and <br />reinsulation of the Police Department roof and repair <br />of the Council Chamber and City Hall roofs, <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />12. Consideration <br />of Staff Memo <br />Regarding <br />Funding for <br />Lower Level <br />Painting and <br />Carpeting <br />Motion Carried <br />13. Consideration of <br />Staff Memo <br />Regarding City <br />Hall Roof Renair; <br />City Attorney Meyers asked that Council authorize 14 <br />Staff to contact MnDOT with regard to the acquisition <br />of properties located north and south of the new <br />Highway 10 cut-off, south of the Miller property, <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Linke to direct Staff to <br />proceed with the acquisition of new Highway 10 surplus <br />lands. <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Blanchard had no report. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had received a <br />call from a resident, complaining of someone selling <br />door-to-door, and she had directed them on to the <br />Police Department. <br />Councilmember Linke reported that the Police had <br />checked the person out, and they did not have a <br />license, and they were directed to stop selling <br />their goods. <br />�~-- Councilmember Hankner reported she had attended <br />a fire relief meeting, and found it very interesting. <br />Motion Carried <br />Report of <br />Attorney <br />Motion Carried <br />15.
