She stated she is opposed <br />to the entrance at this time because of the location <br />on the curve, the lack of lighting, and so forth. <br />Councilmember Linke stated <br />McCarty, and that while he <br />park residents, he was not <br />the access. <br />he concurred with Mayor <br />could sympathize with the <br />in favor of opening up <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated she concurred with <br />Mayor McCarty also, and she feels that the emergency <br />gate the park presently has is sufficient. <br />Mayor McCarty summarized that at this time the Council <br />has decided against permanently opening the entrance, <br />but they will check on the situation with the children <br />and their route to school. <br />Director Thatcher gave his second quarter report for <br />the Public Works/Community Development departments, <br />bringing the Council up to date on the work they've <br />been doing. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Linke to adjourn the meeting <br />at: <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />July 23, 1984 <br />Page Eight <br />7 <br />11 <br />17.
