C <br />MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council <br />FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Development <br />DATE: September 5, 1984 <br />SUBJECT: CHANGE ORDER NO. 1, GRAHAM'S CONTRACTING COMPANY <br />Attached please find a copy of the subject change order. <br />As you may recall, Graham's Contracting Company has tuck pointed <br />the two million gallon water reservior. The original contract <br />is in the amount of $15,200.00. This amount included replacement <br />of 100 missing or defective bricks at at $6.00 per brick. The <br />actual number of missing and defective bricks replaced is 250. <br />Therefore, Graham's Contractin,Lg Company is eligible for an increase <br />in contract price <br />00per <br />ofrtheXcity'sbricks <br />bricksminus <br />and <br />100 bricks)]. The contractor used10 <br />gave us a credit of $23,00. <br />I hired Graham's Contracting Company to repair the concrete motor <br />mount slab for the natural gas engine in Well House No. 2. This <br />r^ $200.00 item is an integral part of repairing the Well No. 2 <br />... engine. Therefore, when we pay the contractor I will charge the <br />correct account for this item. <br />In summary, Graham's Contracting Company is eligible for an increase <br />in the contract in the amount of $1,077.00, ($200.00 - $23.00 + <br />$900.00). <br />RECOMMENDATION: I recommend approving Change Order No. 1 for <br />Graham acting Company in the amount of $1,077.00.
