The appraisal/certification procedure can add 3 to 12 months to <br />the project development timeframe depending on the availability <br />of appraisers, quality of appraisal, and willingness of seller. <br />2. Archeological surveys can add 1 to 6 months to the project devel- <br />ment timeframe depending on the availability of consultants and <br />the nature of resources found, <br />3. Appraisals and archeological surveys can delay submittal of project <br />applications to the LCMR by 3 months to 1 year. Final application <br />materials which are returned to sponsors to be redone can also <br />cause a delay in processing applications through the LCMR and <br />National Park Service, <br />
