MEMO '1'0: Clerk -Administrator and City Council
PROM: Building Inspector
DATE: October 11, 1984
SUBJECT: NEW BRIGHTON STATE BANK
The New Brighton State Bank is requesting approval to provide
additional parking spaces that become necessary due to heavy
weekend and holiday parking needs for their drive-in facility at
Red Oak Drive and Bighway 10. Attached is a sketch which shows
the 21 new spaces they intend on providing. The new parking
spaces provided would be paved as well as having a perimeter of
V6-18 concrete curbing. The additional parking and paving area
may require additional ponding of which the bank, will provide
pending our final calculations of that. Due to the fast closing
fall season, the bank requests that they be able to complete this.
prior to the bituminous companies closing down for the winter.
The Planning Commission has not seen this proposal yet but will
at their workshop meeting on October 17, 1984. Due to the
noncontroversial aspect of the parking proposal, staff would
request that the bank be authorized to proceed with the parking
pending review by the Planning Commission on October 17th.
The proposed additional parking facilities falls within all code
requirements by the City and actually is itended to provide them
with better customer service.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel
free to contact me at my office.
Thank you.
SAR/bc
