No, 383 <br />Chapter 2.09 entitled "Compensation of Mayor and <br />Council", and waive the reading, <br />Councilmember Hankner - aye <br />Councilmember Blanchard - aye <br />Councilmember Doty - nay <br />Councilmember Linke - aye <br />Mayor McCarty - nay <br />Councilmember Doty stated he did feel the ordinance <br />was in proper form, and could not be put into effect <br />for this coming year, <br />Mayor McCarty stated he felt this would involve a <br />judgement call on what was intended by the statute, <br />and he feels a special election does not comply with <br />the intent of the law, <br />Director Thatcher had no report. <br />14. <br />Attorney Meyers reported the trial on the Highway 15 <br />10 Radiator Repair Shop was held October 16 and 17, <br />and the City is to now submit their legal brief by <br />November 19, then the defendent has 14 days to <br />file a counter brief. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had met with Mr. Merritt <br />and Mr. Perez regarding sound readings, and some <br />citizens have volunteered to have their yards used <br />as a site for the readings.
