Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />------------------------------------------------------- <br />Councilmember Doty recommended it include the change <br />to develop Greenfield Park. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley explained the process <br />used in writing the plan. He stated an addendum <br />could be added to include the Greenfield Park plan. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 8:19 PM. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Linke to table until such <br />t me as to • has included the proper amendment to <br />enact the plan. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty closed the regular meeting and opened <br />the next public hearing at 8:21 PM. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed proposed Ordi- <br />nance No. 383. <br />Bob Beutel, 2555 Ridge Lane, urged adoption of the <br />ordinance, stating that a first rate City should be <br />willing to compensate its elected officials for a <br />first rate performance. <br />Mrs. Forslund stated she did not favor the increase <br />in salary for the Council and Mayor as she felt the <br />present salary was adequate. <br />Judy Rowley, 2516 Ridge Lane stated that in order <br />to continue having quality people on the Council, she <br />felt the raise was in order. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 8:26 PM. <br />Director Thatcher reviewed the activities of the <br />sewer, streets, maintenance garage and inspection <br />departments for the past quarter. <br />Mayor McCarty asked if the City owned the equipment <br />to do repairs on sewer and water mains, whether it <br />would pay for itself in the money saved from not <br />contracting the work out. <br />Director Thatcher replied that the equipment required <br />is extremely expensive, and he has let contractors <br />know the City might be interested in purchasing some <br />used equipment, if they have any they are interested <br />in selling. <br />October 22,1984 <br />Page Four <br />Motion Carried <br />7C.
