November 29, 1984 <br />Page 2 <br />An April 25, 1984 memorandum from the Clerk- W <br />Administrator, presented at the May 7, 1984 Agenda Session, <br />outlined this method of financing the project and recommended <br />Council approve it and authorize the Director of Public Works <br />Community Development to prepare plans and specifications and <br />advertise for bids on the project. Conceptual approval was <br />given to the financing and the project at that Agenda <br />Session. A review of the Council minutes indicates that on <br />May 14, 1984 authorization was given for preparation of plans <br />and specificatons and advertisement for bids and on July 23, <br />1984 the contract was awarded to Midwest Asphalt in the amount <br />of $138,138.50. The minutes are silent as to the method of <br />financing. The method of financing should be authorized <br />formally and reflected in the minutes. <br />Resolution No. 1842, authorizing the projects financing <br />is attached for you, consideration. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The following resolutions be adopted to provide <br />financing for the 1984 Street Maintenance Project. <br />NO. 1841 - RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF <br />PROCEEDS FROM THE SILVER LAKE WOODS CONSTRUCTION FUND <br />TO THE GENERAL FUND FOR 1984 STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECTS <br />No. 1842 - RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCING OF THE <br />1984 STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECT AND ANMENDING THE 1984 <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET <br />4 <br />
