Prepare documents for filming. Maximum size <br />is 12" x 14". Documents must be flat, un- <br />folded and free of staples, paper clips, <br />rubber bands and any other such fasteners. <br />Documents larger than 12" x 14" must be cut. <br />Remove documents from folders and place in <br />front of file folders. During this prepara- <br />tion process, make a list of poor quality <br />documents to use later in reviewing the micro- <br />film quality when filming is completed. <br />Mounds View <br />2. Notify Micrographics when first batch of docu- <br />ments are ready to be microfilmed. <br />Micrographics <br />3. Schedule planetary camera at 29x. 14 <br />Micrographics <br />4. Filming will start with oldest records and <br />work forward. Film all documents right -reading. <br />Sequentially number rolls starting with one <br />for the oldest records and going forward to <br />the most recent. At start of roll, film a <br />Certificate of Authenticity, Target "T3", then <br />film a resolution target. Start each file* <br />with a medium blip, and all successive docu- <br />ments in the file will have a small blip. <br />Each file will be numbered starting over at <br />1 for each new roll. At end of roll, film <br />Certificate of Authenticity only. <br />Micrographics <br />5. Label rolls as follows: <br />Roll No: Year: <br />Sequentially numbered. <br />Micrographics 6. The Processing Specialist will process and <br />inspect film. <br />Micrographics 7. Send sample film to Minnesota Historical <br />Society for testing. <br />*As determined by the City of Mounds View. <br />
