rA. <br />MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNI'li, <br />FROM: CLERK -ADMINISTRATOR <br />DATN: JANUARY 31, 141h <br />SUBJECT: MUNICIPAL COOK' CHAPTERS 1, 2, 4, 5, .AND 6 RFVIEW <br />This is the first of many memormid ems you will hi: receiving <br />from Staff regarding the review of chapters of the City's <br />Municipal Code pusuant to onr .,ode review program. The <br />procedures we will be following Boring the review will be <br />for Staff members Lo review thoso chapters which they are <br />individually assigned rusponsihility to and, if time <br />permits, these recommendations will also be reviewed by the <br />Department Read Team. Due to Ih,i time requirements we are <br />facing on the code review proyr.iul any recommendations you <br />receive from City Staff will nuii have been previously <br />reviewed by the City Attorney unless specifically <br />indicated. Copies of each of thu memorandums will be <br />carboned to the City Attorney with a request that. he review <br />the recommendations at the earli.ast possible date in order <br />to ensure that no changes are made which he feels would be <br />contrary to our best interest. <br />The memorandums you will receive., will only indicate those <br />sections of the specific chapLurs which Staff feels needs to <br />be modified unless Staff is proposing a major revision to <br />the entire chapter. Then, you will receive the entire <br />chapter showing all deletions and additions. Should you <br />have any questions on our recommendations or have <br />recommendations to make yourself regarding rode revisions, <br />please discuss them with the Staff member assigned responsi- <br />bility for that chapter. <br />As indicated in the introduction to this memorandum, this <br />review covers chapters 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. Staff <br />recommendations with regard to uhangos or modifications to <br />these chapters are as follows: <br />Chapter 1 - General Provisions of the Code. Pending review <br />by City Attorney Meyers, Staff is recommending <br />no changes to this chapter. <br />Chapter 2 - Council. Staff would recommmend the following <br />changes. <br />1. 2.01 REGULAR h1EE"UNG_.
