Mounds View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />--------------------------------------------------- <br />Council has not acted. <br />Councilmember Hanknex had no report. <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Mayor Links reported he had ridden with one of the <br />Police officers Saturday night, and had a rather <br />uneventful night. <br />!February 25, 1985 <br />Page Four <br />------------------------ <br />11. Reports of <br />Councilmembers <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported that as a result 12. Report of <br />of putting the new squad car into operation last year Clerk/ <br />there is now a surplus vehicle, and Staff has Administrator <br />determined unit 612 is in the worst shape, and <br />recommended it be declared surplus and sold. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Quick to authorize the Clerk/ <br />n—E stf rator to declare unit #612 as surplus property <br />and sell it for the best price for the City. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised the Council that <br />he had received a notice from the League of Minnesota <br />Cities that the Governor's office will be holding an <br />informational meeting at the Embassy Hotel on Friday, <br />March 8 from 1:30 to 4 PM, regarding the proposed <br />changes in the tax structure. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported arrangements have <br />been made to have a demo ballot counter on hand for the <br />special election on March 12. He asked that the Council <br />be present to witness how the machine operates. He also <br />asked that they call to order for a special. meeting at <br />9:30 PM on March 12 to certify the results of the election. <br />Motion Second: Quirk/Hanknex to schedule a special <br />meet ng or arch 12, 1985 at 9:30 PM to certify the <br />results of the special election. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley asked for Council approval of <br />the recommendation of the Civil Service Commission to <br />appoint Jack Chambers as a police investigator. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Linke to appoint Jack Chambers as <br />a pol�cestigator, <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion Carried <br />i "k <br />IF <br />Motion Carried <br />Motion Carle,,, <br />
