Motion/Second: Quick/Hankner to approve the first rea ng o rdinance No. 386, amending Ordinance No. 319 granting a franchise to Group W Cable of the North Suburbs, Inc., a Minnesota corporation, to operate and maintain a cable communication system in the City, and waive the reading. 4 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Public Works/Community Development Director Thatcher 10. Report of was absent on vacation. Public Works/ Community Dvlpt Director It was noted that Attorney Meyers was absent. 11. Report of Attorney Councilmember Hankner reported the Festivities 12. Reports of Commission has been operating with five people, Councilmembers which is a very small group, and due to their size, they are having problems with planning the 1985 Festival in the Park. She explained that due to lack of people to help, they were not planning on having the church service this year, and due to problems in not being able to get back information from former commission members on past years activities, they were not able to organize a parade. She requested that the City intervene and send a letter to the former Festivities Commission members, asking them to return the paperwork and information they have. Motion/Second: Hankner/Quick to have the Clerk/ A inistrator send a letter to the former Festivities Commission members, requesting they return the paperwork, information and files they may have still. 4. ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Councilmember Quick had no report. Councilmember Blanchard reported she had not attended the Planning Commission meeting as she had attended an airport meeting instead.
