Call to Order <br />Mayor Linke at 7:30 PM on April 8, 1985. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. 2. Pledge of <br />Allegiance <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Quick, Blanchard, 3. Roll Call_ <br />Haake, Han ner and Mayor Links. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk/Admini- <br />strator au ey and Public Works/Community Development <br />Director Thatcher. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Haake to approve the March 25, 4. Approval of <br />5 mI�$ inutes as presented. Minutes: <br />5 ayes 0 nays March 25, 1985 <br />Motion Carried <br />Bill Fritz, no address given, questioned why a stop 5. <br />Residents <br />sign was installed et Long Lake Road and Hillview <br />Requests and <br />and asked whether the Council had authorized it. <br />Comments from <br />the Floor <br />Mayor. Links replied that it is a county road and that <br />Mr. Fritz was present when the Council discussed the <br />request and petition. He added that it was a county <br />decision to install it. <br />Mr. Fritz replied he had written to county commissioner <br />Bob Orth and asked who had approved the sign, and was <br />told that it had been requested by Mounds View. He <br />asked what was going to be done. <br />Mayor Linke stated that there had been a concern with <br />the residents of the area with slowing traffic on that <br />road. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated it was her understanding <br />that the citizen who requested the sign had appeared <br />before the county commission, and she was not representing <br />the City Council. <br />Councilmember Hankner reviewed a letter Mr. Fritz had <br />
