-2- <br />You are hereby advised, pursuant to Minn. Stat. 514.115 <br />1984), "Small business considerations in rulemaking,' that while <br />the rules as a whole may have an aimpactton small time business,do not the <br />amendments which are being p p <br />the impacts which the existing rules may have on small business. <br />Please be advised that Minn. Stat. ch. IDA requires each <br />lobbyist to register with the State Ethical Practices Board <br />A lobbyist <br />within five days after he or she commences lobbying. <br />is defined in Minn. Stat. S10A.01, subd. 11 (1984) as any <br />individual: <br />(a) Engaged for pay or other consideration, or authorizpends <br />another individual or association to spend money, <br />whomore than five hours in any month or more than $250, not <br />including his own travel expenses and membership dues, in any <br />year, for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative <br />or administrative <br />action <br />by officials; <br />or urging others to <br />communicate <br />%b) Who spends more than $250 not includinforlthes own <br />traveling <br />expenses and membership dues, in any yu <br />of <br />attempting to influence legislative or administrative action <br />by communicating or urging others to communicate with public <br />officials. <br />The statute contains certain exceptions.
