r ,
MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCI
FROM: CLERK-ADMINISTRAT
DATE: MAY 29, 1985
SUBJECT: CITY BROCHURE.
Attached please find a draft of a City brochure that has been
prepared by Staff over the past few weeks.
The intention of this brochure is to replace the booklet prepared
by the League of Women voters several years ago which is no
longer in stock and which is mailed to all new residents of the
City along with other information regarding the City, Ramsey
County and State of Minnesota. Also, this brochure could be used
as part of any economic development program to give individuals
or companies who are interested in the City more detail about our
community.
Staff would propose that should this brochure or any amended form
of it be approved by the City that it be printed professionally
in order to provide a "professional" appearance. Also, as this
^ is not a budgeted item and funds are not readily available for
its printing, Staff would suggest that the Council consider the
possibility of selling ads to local businesses with the revenues
being used to cover the cost of printing. Staff would request
Council direction on this matter.
DFP/mjs
Attachment:
