Director Thatcher replied they are not <br />required to, and that notice is only required to be <br />published in the New Brighton Bulletin. Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley also clarified the administrative <br />policy which is followed. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported the Festivities <br />Commission will be meeting on June 4th and they in need <br />of more people to help out with the Festival in the Park. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had spoken to Grant <br />Merritt within the past two weeks and he is in the process <br />of leaving the firm he was employed with and would like to <br />be able to settle his bill with the City. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to authorize payment <br />to rant erritt of $2,141.53 per the April 24th letter <br />from Carol Herbst of the law firm. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Quick had no report. <br />Mayor Linke had no report. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley requested authorization to 19, Report of <br />submit a grant to the Met Council Regional Arts Clerk/Admini- <br />Council for $958 for four performances by artists strator <br />at Silver Lake Park this summer. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Blanchard to authorize Staff to <br />su m t t Fgrant and indicate to the Arts Council <br />that the City is a tax exempt organization. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley received Council approval <br />to reschedule the clean-up with Pack 68 Cubscouts for <br />June 22, to include lunch at McDonalds. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised the Council of an <br />article in the New Brighton Bulletin regarding the <br />competition between Mounds View and Shoreview to <br />have the new Ramsey County Library built in their <br />City, and stated he would be going to the schools <br />in the City and asking the students to write to <br />the library board, as Shoreview did. <br />
