-2- <br />Staff recently met with Honeywell, Inc. who has donated $2,11011 in� <br />the past for the Neighborhood Park Planning Fund, to request en <br />additional $50,000 to fund the Neighborhood Park Planning Fund. <br />Staff teels it is imperative to get a major project "in trn- <br />ground", to be able to showcase how the Neighborhood Park Plan- <br />ning Fund can be used to develop other neighborhood parks and <br />community facilities. <br />In conclusion, staff feels that the Groveland Park Foundation has <br />done extensive groundwork in researching and developing fund <br />raising activities for the purchase of this playground equipment. <br />Staff would recommend that the equipment be purchased as out- <br />lined, based on the funding sources as provided. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend approval of a Durascape+ playground <br />equipment or Groveland Park in an amount not to exceed $15,000 <br />based on the formal bid proposal received from Minnesota Play- <br />ground, Inc. with the project to be funded from the following <br />three sources: <br />$5.000 .......... Neighborhood Park Planning Fund <br />$7,500 .......... Groveland Park Foundation <br />$2,500 .......... MSA Bond Fund <br />BKA/sll <br />I <br />
