r <br />r MEMU TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCI <br />FROM: CLERK-AUMINISTRATO <br />DATE: JULY 11, 1985 <br />SUBJECT: LICENSE AND PERMIT FEES AND CHARGES <br />As part of the annual budget process Staff regularly reviews the <br />fees charged by the City for its various licenses and permits. <br />Attached please find a copy of Resolution No. 1462 adopted by the <br />Mounds View City Council on June 12, 1982 which is the most <br />recent listing of fees. <br />In reviewing the fee schedule Staff took into consideration that <br />it has been three years since the last fee schedule was adopted <br />and our wage structure and operating costs have increased a <br />minimum of 10 percent during that three year period. With that <br />in mind, where no signficant changes in the issuance of licenses <br />and permits has occurred during the last three year period Staff <br />has recommended a 10 percent increase rounded to the nearest <br />dollar to reflect increases in operating costs. <br />The following is a listing of the revised fees and charges Staff <br />would recommend be approved by the City Council. <br />1. Chapter 58.05, Swimming Pool Permits - Valuation Table <br />of Chapter 59.02. The Director of Public Works/ <br />Community Development will be submitting a proposed <br />amendment to this section of Chapter 59.02 for your <br />consideration at a future date. <br />2. Chapter 60.02, Subdivision 3, Contractor License Fee - <br />$30.00 per year. <br />3. Chapter 70, Municipal Water System <br />a. 70.01, (2), (a), water connection permit - $10.00 <br />b. 70.01, (3), water meter with remote reader - $70.00 <br />c. 70.06, (2) <br />i. non -return of meter reading card - $5.00 <br />ii. late payment of bill - 10% <br />d. 70.06, (3), service restoration fee - <br />1. $30.00 during business hours <br />ii. $56.00 after business hours <br />4. Chapter 71, Municipal Sanitary Sewer System <br />a. 71.05, sanitary sewer connection permit - $10.00 <br />
