C <br />E D <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Regular Meeting <br />July 8, 1985 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />2401 Hwy. 10, Mounds View, MN 55112 <br />----------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />The Mounds View City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Linke at 7:30 PM on July 8, 1985. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was said. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Hankner, Quick, <br />Blanchard, Haa a and Mayor Linke. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Meyers, Clerk/Admini- <br />strator Fauiey and Public Works/Community Develop- <br />ment Director Thatcher. <br />Motion/Second: Haake/Quick to approve the June 24, <br />19F5 minutes as corrected. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Duane McCarty, 8060 Long Lake Road, presented news <br />articles to the Council, and stated he felt the <br />traffic at the Anoka County airport was increasing <br />and that the new Councilmembers should give their <br />opinions and where they stand formally. He added <br />that he feels the lawsuit should be pushed forward <br />at this time, within the next few months. <br />Mayor Linke replied that one of the prime issues in <br />the lawsuit is the noise problem, and the City has <br />a commitment from Al Perez to get the noise monitoring <br />done. He explained that it has been a difficult <br />problem to get the monitoring done by Mr. Perez and <br />the Council recently called him in and made it very <br />clear the work had to be done immediately, and Mr. <br />Perez has agreed to it, and has estimated it will <br />take three months to gather the data and analyze it <br />and report on it. <br />Mr. McCarty stated he agrees the noise study is <br />important but they need to proceed now to attack the <br />Master Plan and cannot delay any longer. <br />1.
