MOUNDS VIEW PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 140-'85 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE VARIANCE REQUEST FOR 2840 OAKWOOD DRIVE <br />WHEREAS, there exists on the southeast intersection of <br />Oakwood Drive and Knollwood Drive a house which faces Oakwood <br />Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Boyles, the property owner, requests to <br />build an accessory building six inches from his property line; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the accessory building is proposed to be 128 <br />square feet; and <br />WHEREAS, the accessory building occupies less than 25 <br />percent of the rear yard; and <br />WHEREAS, the accessory building is less than 15 feet in <br />height; and <br />WHEREAS, all of the setbacks on the site are satisfied; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, there are reasonable alternatives for providing <br />privacy; and <br />WHEREAS, there are reasonable alternatives for a location <br />for the accessory building; and <br />WHEREAS, the hardship was self-created by Mr. Boyles <br />by installing a new deck in his back yard; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a lack of uniqueness for this variance <br />request; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View <br />Planning Commission denies a 4.5 foot variance request on the <br />rear lot line at 2840 Oakwood Drive. <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />Adopted this 7th day of August, 1985. <br />Chairman <br />Director of Public Works/ <br />Community Development <br />
