RESOLUTION NO. 10070 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> ADOPTING A CALENDAR FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2026 BUDGET <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Charter and Code as well as State Statutes set forth various <br /> requirements for considering and adopting components of the City's budget; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 7.04 of the City Charter requires the City Administrator to submit to the <br /> City Council a budget calendar to be established by resolution, and <br /> WHEREAS, the calendar is an approximate schedule of when these actions will take place <br /> but is not an absolute timeline. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that <br /> the following budget calendar is hereby adopted: <br /> April - May City Council discusses budget priorities at a work session. <br /> June Summary of General Fund operating budget requests delivered to City <br /> Council. <br /> June -Aug City Council reviews General Fund budget at work session(s). <br /> Aug. 25, 2025 City Council adopts preliminary 2026 property tax levy or defers to <br /> September 8t" meeting and sets date for the Truth in Taxation Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> Sept- Nov City Council reviews other funds and utility rate study at work session(s). <br /> November City Council considers utility rates for 2026. <br /> Dec. 1, 2025 Truth in Taxation Public Hearing. <br /> Dec. 8, 2025 Continuation Hearing and adoption of 2026 budget and tax levy. <br /> Adopted March 24, 2025. <br /> Zach Lindstrom, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br /> (SEAL) <br /> The Mounds View Vision <br /> A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
