RESOLUTION 10075 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZATION TO ADVANCE THE PART TIME STORM WATER INTERN POSITION TO A FULL TIME STATUS WITH A TITLE RECLASSIFICATION FROM INTERN TO TECHNICIAN WHEREAS, City Council passed Resolution 9984 approving the hire of a part time Storm Water Intern; and WHEREAS, Staff continues to witness the value of this position and has conversed with the Council, at recent Work Sessions, about advancing it to a full time status and re- classification to Strom Water Technician; and WHEREAS, since hiring the Storm Water Intern, the City of Mounds View was awarded (2) two grants: • Board of Soil and Water Research (BWSR)for a total of$234,300.00 • Rice Creek Watershed District (RCWD)for$100,000.00; and WHEREAS, Staff has spoken with the Finance Director, and she indicated that there would be an increase to the 2025 Storm Water Budget of$40,710.00 as this was not included originally; and WHEREAS, Staff is requesting the Council consider the using $20,355.00 from the BWSR Grant to help off-set the increase to the Storm Water Budget, leaving $20,355.00 yet to be funded. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Approves moving the Part Time Storm Water Intern to a Full Time Status. 2. Approves using $20,355.00 of the BWSR Grant to offset the Storm Water Budget. 3. Request that Staff look for further cost savings in the 2025 Storm Water Budget of $20,355.00. 4. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution.
