80.01 <br />CHAPTER 60 <br />REGULATION OF THE USE OF HIGHWAYS, STREETS <br />AND ROADS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY <br />80.01. HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND ROADS. The regulatory pro- <br />visions of Mi.^.nego ta Statutes C apter 168, 169, and 171 as <br />amended from time to time, including amendments enacted by the <br />nlll lll'b•i.o �.. .j: <br />,uul Spl•r 1.11 KCB41n09, aS <br />regulatory ordinances relative to the use of highways, streets <br />and alleys and of motor vehicles and drivers, and all other <br />vehicles within Mounds View are hereby incorporated in and made a <br />part of this Code as completely as if set out herein in full. <br />80.02. UNREASONABLE ACCELERATION. <br />Subdivision 1. Definitions. <br />(1) 'Unreasonable Acceleration' means to cause squealing <br />or screeching sounds by the tires, and/or fishtailing <br />of the motor vehicle, of the throwiny of sand or gra- <br />vel by the tires of said vehicle or both. <br />(2) 'Motor Vehicle' is hereby defined as any vehicle pro- <br />pelled by an engine and authorized to be driven on a <br />public highway. <br />Subdivision 2. Unreasonable Acceleratiun Prohibited. <br />Unreasonable acceleration of any motor vehicle on any public <br />highway or private property within Mounds 'View, as defined <br />herein, !s hereby declered to be a public nuisance and is pro- <br />hibited. <br />Fubdivi3ion 3. Prima Facie. It shall be Prima facie <br />evidence of d vtolatioh Of this chapter if a motor vehicle stall <br />oe observed accelerating in such a manner as to cause squealing <br />or screeching sounds by the vehicle's tires, fishtailing of the <br />vehicle, or the throwing of sand and gravel or ether material by <br />the tires of said vehicle, or any combination of the herein <br />described actions. <br />RU.03. VEHICLE LOAD LIMIT RESTRICTIONS. <br />Subdivision 1. Seasonal Load Restrictions. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1970, Chapter 169.80 <br />through 169.88 the Directcr of Public Works-Sapertnlenden! <br />•., rbvoinnment shall establish appropriate seasonal loac <br />restrictions for municipal streets and shall cause notice ui <br />restrictions to be posted as required. Such restrictions shall <br />be for the purpose of minimizing damage to municipal streets <br />during the annual spring thaw. <br />
