<br />(8) Narcotics.
<br />a. Definitions. Word,, terms, and phrases. Unless the
<br />language or context clearly indicates that a
<br />difterent m«aning is intended, the following words,
<br />Lerms, a:id phrases, for the purposes of this chapter,
<br />shall he given the meanings subjointed to them.
<br />1. Persons. "Persons" includes any corporation,
<br />association, copartnership, or any one or more in-
<br />dividuals.
<br />2. The words "physicians", "dentist" "veterinarian",
<br />"manufacturer", "wholesale", "apothecary",
<br />"hospital", and "iiboratory" are herewith defined
<br />pursuant to the terms of Minnesota Statutes 618.01,
<br />Subdivisions 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
<br />3. Narcotic Drugs. For purposes of this chapter "narco-
<br />tic drugs" shall mean coca leaves, opium, cannabis
<br />(marijuana and hashish), isonipecaine, amldone,
<br />isoamidone, ketobemidone, as more fully defined in
<br />Minnesota Statutes 6i8.01, Subdivisions 15, 20, 21,
<br />22, and 23; and shall include all depressants, stimu-
<br />lants, hallucinogens including LSD by whatever trade
<br />name they are known as, and every other substance
<br />neither chemically nor physically distinguishable
<br />from them; any other drugs to which the Federal
<br />Narcotics Law may now apply; and any other drug which
<br />is hereatt?r included under the Federai Narcotic Law
<br />and found by the State Board of Health after
<br />teasenable notice and opportunity for 'tearing, to
<br />have an addiction forming or addiction -sustaining
<br />liability similar to morphine or cocaine from the
<br />effective date of determination of such find.ng of
<br />said State Board of Health.
<br />4. Federal Narcotics Laws. "Federal Narcotics Laws"
<br />means the laws of the United States relating to
<br />opium, coca leaves, and other narcotic dr•igs.
<br />5, official written order. "Ufftcial written order"
<br />means an prder written on a form provided for that
<br />purpose of the United States Commissioner of
<br />Narcotics under any laws of the United States making
<br />provision therefor-,, if such .order forms are autho-
<br />rized am required by Federal Law and, if no such
<br />order form is provided, then on an official form pro-
<br />vided for that purpose by the Department of Health of
<br />State.
