Act as a facilitator in helping chamber members receive support on an issue presented to the city council; interact with the city planner and serve as a liaison group between the Suburban Chamber's Governmental Committee and the local division. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Designed to develop programs, tabloids, coupon books, promotions or other ideas that stimulate the purchasing of goods and services from the local residents and other business people; work to attract viable businesses to locate in the area. C01,94UNITY DEVELOPMENT Designed to enhance the image and local pride of a city; build identity and credibility of the community in the eyes of its residents and the surrounding suburban cities; work with area schools in strengthening a strong understanding of business in the minds of our young people. COMMUNICATIONS Designed to visit and welcome all new members to the Chamber; call on them during their years of membership to determine their needs; call members and encourage them to attend monthly membership meet- ings; and assist in the publishing of the local chamber newsletter. „S;JNKAi. CULLER ACTICi; Cn°' ;ITTEE EDUCATION The purpose of the Education group is to draw business people, high school juniors and seniors and teachers together to strengthen understanding and communications between all sectors. To foster and encourage economic understanding by sponsoring several programs involving all three sectors. GOVERNMENT Our Governmental Committee exists to identify key issues during the legislative session; to discuss the issues as a group; to disseminate the findings to members; to research and author bills addressing these issues; to lobby our positions and to train our members on these positions.
