MAYOR AND COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 201 1985 <br />PAGE TWO 4 <br />2) Chapter 33 - Industrial Development Commission (cont'd) <br />Staff has identified three options that are <br />available with respect to this commission and <br />its organization. They are, <br />a) Should it be the Council's desire to <br />retain those duties assigned to the <br />Industrial Development Commission solely <br />within their scope of authority and <br />responsibility, Staff would recommend <br />that. this Chapter be rescinded as it would <br />serve no useful purpose. <br />b) If the Council desires not to be the <br />sole authority then this chapter could <br />remain as is and members could be <br />appointed to the commission pursuant to <br />Section 33.03. <br />c) Finally, if it is the council's desire to • <br />have a separate organization which is <br />given the charge of aggressively marketing <br />the community for industrial and commercial <br />development, then Staff would recommend <br />that a separate commission be created and <br />appointments be made for the immediate <br />functioning of this organization. <br />3) Chapter 46 - Street Names and Chapter 47 - House and Building <br />Numbers <br />Staff would recommend no changes be made to <br />these two chapters. <br />DFP/mjs <br />
