4i 9
MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator and City Council .(
FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Developmen /
DATE: July 26, 1985
SUBJECT: STREET SIGNS
Attached please find the following letters:
1. Mrs. Perleberg of 7801 Gloria Circle received July 11,
1985.
2. Mr. Michaele Reiter of 5359 St. Stephen Street received June
28, 1985.
Mrs. Perleberg requests the placement of a "dead end" sign on
Gloria Circle which is located in the western area of Mounds View
just north of Spring Lake. I talked to Mr. and Mrs. Murphey who
live at 7830 Gloria Circle to see if they would have any problem
with us installing a dead end sign in the boulevard of their yard.
They said that they would object to a sign post placed in their
boulevard, but they were agreeable to having a "dead end sign"
placed on the street name sign post which is located on the corner
of Hillview Road and Gloria Circle.
Mr. Reiter requests the placement of "no parking anytime" signs on
the north side of his property because people have been parking on
his grass and he suspects that they come from Landmark Estates and
the Bel Rae Ballroom. Staff thought that the owners of the
property at the intersection of Bronson Drive and St. Stephen
Street and Bronson Drive and Jackson Drive might want "no parking
anytime" signs on the north side of their property also. So, we
contacted them. Both of these property owners indicated that they
did not want "no parking anytime" signs on the north side of their
property.
RECOMMENDATION:
I recommend installing a "dead end" sign below the street name
Sign for the cul-de-sac known as Gloria Circle. I also recommend
be placed in the boulevard on the
that "no parking any time" signs
north side of Mr. Reiter's house at 5395 St. Stephen Street.
SWT/bac
