OF MINNESOTA <br />December 5, 1985 <br />M,)unds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers <br />7:00 p.m. <br />CALL !U ORDER Iliv meeting was called Lu under -nturmally at <br />7:05 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL Tnsk force members present: Linda Pavek, <br />Neal Valley, Fred Kaiser, Barb Depew <br />Park d Recreation Commissioners present: <br />Diane Wuori, Frank Silvis, Ed Letendre, David <br />Long and Chairperson Wayne Burmeister <br />Councilmembers present: Mayor Jerry Linke, <br />Councilmember Gary Quick <br />Staff present: Parks and Recreation Director <br />Bruce Anderson <br />INTRODUCTIONS <br />Introductions were made around the room <br />including community service groups and/or <br />agencies that each individual might represent <br />as well as a brief review of each individuals <br />family background. <br />COMMUNITY CENTLR/ <br />NATURAL ICE FINK <br />Staff reviewed a memorandum that was Distri- <br />buted on December 4, 1985 re,arding the <br />fecsibility of constr,,cting a recreation <br />activity center at Silver View Park at a dol- <br />lar umoi-nt not tr exceed $753,000. The <br />nnt:..ntixl r.lAn nrnnn<nA h., et.ff wAe A 77 nnO <br />squere foot shelte: building which wocld <br />house a natural ice ifena, public restroums, <br />general seating area, rro shop, kitchen <br />facilities and concession area. Staff had <br />met with two representatives from pre- <br />fabricated buildings; one representing Cedar <br />Forest Products, and the second representing <br />Retler Ruilding, a steel structure. Both <br />representatives indicated that a building <br />similar to staff's desire could be construct- <br />ed within the dollar amount allocated. <br />
