He stated that he feels that ds long as the candidates for County Commissiun^r can get their literature out, the park department can also. Councilmember Hankner stated her major concern is in getting the information out to the residents. U'll Frits stated he felt the trmeframv wau very poor, and that for getting the information out, they do not have an organized political group to help them. He also questioned the thoroughness of the report, stating that there already is a drinking fountain at Hillview Park, yet the plan calls for the installation on one there. He also stated he feels the residents should be given complete information on what the money would be spent on, and where thinqs would be going, so they would know just what they are voting on. Mr. McCarty stated that off year elections have proven to be undesirable and he did not feel they could expect a good turnout. Mayor Linke stated he felt the newsletter should be cleaned up to make it more neutral, and that if the citizens are informed and choose not to vote, they hive no right to complain afterwards. Park Uircctor Anderson explaine,' that if the referenoum passes, they would do a direct rt.ailinq to tncse affected and conduct public hearings to tell them what is planned for their areas.
