Proposed ot'•iinanr, No. 403.
Presently, the Cif, Code chapter 40 does nor permit thu
installation If salollitc dish drtennas. The Mounds View
Planning Commissio: recommends adoption of proposed ordinance
No. 401 which .atrllite dish antennas in all zoning
districts.
The Planninq commt-;inn ,onsidercd adding the following sentence
to Subdivision T a•,d subdivision U of proposed Ordinance No. 403:
Property ow ors shall install a visual buffer (shrubs,
trees, fend-, etr.) to screen the dish from the first
floor windows of residential nu:ioings diia•rIV adjacent
to the rroporty twat the dish is installed on.
The Planninq commi.sion decided not to add this sentence as a
requirement becaus.• they did not want to require every single
satellite dish ant.•nna installation to be buffered from
r.eighboting property. I recomme:d that you consider the
possibility of addinq this to reduce the probabiiity of neighbors
complaining about the only antenna his neighbor just installed.
SWT/bac
