EQUIPMENT FOR WELL NO. 5 <br />Attached please find the following quotations: <br />1. Layne Minnesota $1,557.00 <br />3 vnccrn. Inc. $1,611.50 <br />This equipment is needed because the existing chlorine equipment <br />is 10 y2ars old and does not maintain a chlorine residual in the <br />water main lines. We have tried to repair this equipment. The <br />repaired equipment still does not maintain a rhlorine residual in <br />the water line in this area of t;le ('ity. <br />There is sufficient money in the 1986 water system capital <br />improvement program for this purchase. <br />RECOMMENDATION: I recommend purchasing chlorine equipment per <br />Layne Minnesota Company's quotation of February 11, 1986, for <br />$1,557.00.
