The quotes are as follows: <br />1. Vessco, Tnr. $5 ,0''i4,1111 <br />2. Layne Minnesota Cu. $6,996.0U <br />Vessco, Inc. provided an additionAl quote fnr the subject <br />equipment in an amount of $4,713.UO. This quote includes 6 of <br />their new qas vacuum solenoid valves. If this alternate is <br />awarded, the City will save $346.UU on the purchase of chlorine <br />equipment, but the City will have to spend approximately $500.00 <br />to modify the control panel. sinro rho tl,j, vacuum soL•noid <br />valves are new to the market place and do not have a lonq track <br />record, they could be expensive to maintain and create problems <br />in the future. <br />The equipment is needed because we do not chlorinate the water <br />prior to the filter or chlorinate the water after the filter per <br />Minnesota Department of Health requirements. <br />The purchase of this equipment iS in the 1986 Capital Improvement <br />and Repair Budqet.
