-7- <br />3. GENERAL CONDITIONS (continued) <br />f. Award of Contract <br />A contract shall be awarded to the lowest <br />responsible bidder as soon as practical after the <br />openinq of the bids, and the bidder to whom award is <br />made shall enter into a written contract with the <br />City of Mounds View within ten (10) days of the <br />notification of the award. <br />q. Permits and Licenses <br />The Contractor shall obtain all permits and licenses <br />required by the City, County and State. <br />ft. Subletting or Assignment of Contract <br />No assignment or subletting of this contract, all or <br />in part, will be permitted without authorization of <br />the City. The Contractor alone will be held <br />responsible for full and faithful performance of the <br />contract. <br />i. Contractor to Make Examination <br />(1) The Contractor shall make his/her own examina- <br />tion, investigation, and research regarding the <br />proper method of doing the work, and all <br />conditions affecting the work to be done and <br />the labor, equipment, and materials neeaed <br />thereon, and the quantity of work to be <br />performed. <br />(2) The Contractor agrees that he/she has satisfied <br />himself/herself by his/her own investigation <br />and research ell such conditions, and that <br />his/her conclusion to enter into the proposed <br />contract is based upon such investigation and <br />research. <br />(3) The Contractor shall make no claim against the <br />City because of any of the estimates, <br />statements, or interpretations made by any <br />official, officer, or agent of the City that <br />may prove to be in any respect erroneous. <br />(4) The Contractor so assumes the risk of all <br />conditions, foreseen and unforeseen, and agrees <br />to complete the work without additional <br />compensation under whatever circumstances which <br />may develop other than is herein provided. <br />
