REVISED DRAFT 3/4/80 F.nGEWOOD JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT REGARDING DEVELOP14ENT AND USE OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 621 OUTSIDE FACILITIES AT EUGEWOOD JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of , 1980 between the CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW, hereinafter referred to as the "CITY" and INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DIS- TRICT NO. 621, hereinafter referred to as the "SCHOOL DISTRICT". WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the School District owns and operates Edgewood Junior High, the premises of which include certain outside facilities, said school sites delineated in red on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A, and WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of the School District and the City to coop- erate for the purposes of permitting said outside facilities to be used for the edu- cation and recreation activity programs of the School District and the City, and WHEREAS, the School District and the City desires to upgrade and maintain the Edqewood Junior High' outside facilities to permit utilization, not only by the pupils of the School District, but also by the citizens of the School District and of the City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in consideration of the foregoing reci- tals and mutual covenants and promises herein set forth, it is hereby agreed by and between the School District and the City as follows: 1. INSTALLATIONt__UPGRADING MAC INTENANCE AND REPAIR The City agrees to participate in the maintenance and development of the outside facilities at Edgewood Junior High. The City's contributions will consist of in -kind services (i.e., grading, engineering, mowing, repairing and replacement) and/or capi- tal equipment for a total of $36,000 for the three (3) year period 1979, 1980 and 1981. Specific maintenance agreements will be developed mutually by both parties before March 15, 1980 for this three (3) year time period. The -form and amount of the City's and District's contributions starting with 1982 and thereafter will be detailed yearly in a main- tenance agreement between the City and the School District. approved by March 15 each year.
