PAl'L MINNFSUTA • CHIPPEWA FALLS, WISCONSIN <br />55112 <br />Attention: Bruce Anderson, <br />City Parks Director <br />Gentlemen: <br />RE: MOUNDS VIEW, MINNESOTA ' <br />SILVER VIEW PARK/OAK LAKE PARK ADDN. <br />OUR FILE N0. 77039 <br />As requested by city staff at a meeting with Bruce Anderson and <br />Daniel Boxrud on January 31, 1980, we herein submit our proposal <br />to review the proposed Kraus-Anderson/City Park evelopment in <br />the vicinity of the Scotland Green Apartments. Our understanding <br />of the wosk required is as follows: <br />l. Evaluate the developers proposals relative to sound <br />engineering practice and conformance with the resolution <br />983. <br />2. Assess the feasibility of constructing the proposed lake, <br />bike trail, related sliding hill, and the possibility of <br />constructing these facilities at the proposed cost limit <br />of $250,000. <br />3. Recommend features to be considered as part of the develop- <br />ment which would be desirable or required from the city's <br />standpoint. <br />4. Approximate the likely maintenanee that will be required <br />of the lake due to incoming sediment load from storm <br />water, possible shoreline erosion, etc. <br />5. Address the proposed lake as to it's suitability as a <br />swimming beach and recommend features or facilities to <br />maintain the proper water quality including but not limited <br />to possible filtration systems. <br />We have been in contact with the developers engineer. The engineer <br />indicates that the final design proposal is still under development <br />and will not be submitted for about one week.
